Movie Website Analysis

I will be analysing the Official 'Gravity' movie website

LINK: gravitymovie.warnerbros.com

This is the home page of the official 'gravity' website. The viewer is presented with a number of different options and bits of information about the film here.

At the top of the webpage the viewer is presented with 6 different tabs, all leading to additional pages which contain all sorts of useful information about the film including pictures, trailer, downloads, special features and even a app for your device, this gives the viewer an insight about the movie and therefore encourages the viewer to watch the actual movie.

In contrast to the top of the webpage is the bottom part:
Here, it gives Social Networking Links to the viewer and gives the option to follow the movie on Twitter and Facebook, which will help the viewer to stay in touch with the movie and keep up to date with all information regarding the movie, such as new trailers, and release dates etc. Here, it also gives the viewer the option to 'share' which is helpful in promoting the movie, a good marketing technique. It also offers worldwide release dates and credits which is very helpful.

Presented in the middle righthand side of the webpage is the 'GRAVITY' logo along with its release date, and showcases the main stars of the film "Sandra Bullock' and 'George Clooney' which compliments the moving picture of both actors in the background. It also showcases a quote from a review, emphasising how good the movie really is. Here its also gives the viewer the option to 'Get Tickets and Showtimes' which is handy for the viewer and almost forces the viewer to buy a ticket and watch the film, another useful marketing technique.

Here is the 'Videos' tab, where the viewer is presented with 5 different trailers to watch, this is helpful in promoting the film, as it encourages the viewer to want to watch the full film, due to teaser trailers.

Here, is the 'Gallery' tab, the viewer is presented with cinematic photos, once again attracting the attention of the viewer and persuading them to watch the actual film.

This is the 'App' tab which gives the viewer the option to download the app on their smart phones and tablets as it provides a link to the app store for apple devices and links to Googleplay as well. The viewer is constintly reminded of the 'GRAVITY' logo presented in the bottom left hand corner.

Here is the 'Downloads' tab providing the user with a number of different download options about the film, this once again makes the viewer more interested about the film and encourages them to go and watch 'GRAVITY' when it is released.
